Dear All

The Codger Cup planned for tomorrow is postponed, the venue will not be open.

We will therefore do the draw and the games can be individually arranged like before.

If you know anyone who did not enter this year because they could not make the specified date and want to enter please contact me before next Thursday December 2nd.

Given the Government’s road map we believe it will be both safe and acceptable to start the new season in line with previous seasons and therefore start in early September.

Prior to that we will need an AGM which we will combine with registration night. This will take place early August.

Also, in late July/August we will complete the pairs competition and the KO Cup which will give us a good idea of how things will be for the new season.

We will look to have last season’s Presentation Night in December or January.

This is all subject to Government Guidelines.

September 3rd 2020

Dear all

We have decided that the current league season needs an end date. We will give it until the end of September and if there is no clear guidance from the Government that allows us to play safely indoors, teams and players will be awarded average points.

We will endeavour to complete the Divisional singles competitions in the meantime.

When regulations are lifted, we will look to start the next season if time allows i.e. no later than January. We will also be looking to play the remaining doubles games as a soft start to the new season.

I have noted that the runners up position in Division 2 is a close competition, so if it does go to average points, we will look at promoting 3 teams from that Division depending on how many teams enter next season. Relegations from Division 1 will remain at 2.

In the absence of league fixtures please try to support your venues.
